Well I just got back from Paris about an hour ago. Even though I went only for a weekend it was definitely worth it.

PROS OF PARIS
1. Paris is an absolutely stunning city. You can't NOT have your breath taken away.
2. Paris is very clean, much cleaner than America I must say. Almost no one litters and I like that a lot, there's trash cans on every corner.
3. The food there is absolutely delicious, especially their pastries.
4. Sidewalks. I absolutely love sidewalks considering I have no sidewalks where I live. It's nice to be able to go where you want when you want without having to count on a ride.
5. The metro system is used here and it's very convenient for getting to far away places.
6. I've heard rumors that Parisians are very rude to those who don't speak French (I speak a little but not enough to have an actual full blown conversation with a Parisian) but this rumor proved to be untrue. Everyone is extremely nice and patient if you don't know the language and many speak english as well so it's easier.
7. People in Paris actually care about how they dress, everyone is very well dressed (minus a few older people) and fashionable.
CONS OF PARIS
1. Driving is crazy. I feared for my life more than 1 time in a 30 minute cab ride. Traffic is absolutely ridiculous and if you think NYC is bad, think again. Paris is 10 times worse and even more confusing with all its' side-roads and constant stops for pedestrians.
2. Although the thought of a metro is nice, it goes much too quickly. Doors open and close in the span of 30 seconds and the fear of getting trapped between the doors or losing my mother was really high. It was frightening honestly.
3. The money. Oh god, THE MONEY! Everything and I mean EVERYTHING was so fucking expensive. A little key chain no bigger than my pinky was $20. Really?!? I couldn't afford anything nice because of the cost. A burger cost $80. I lousy burger that was no better than McDonald's was $80. That is fucking ridiculous.
4. Shopping was an absolute nightmare. It took at least 5 minutes to move two feet. I don't blame Paris though considering it is a major shopping center all over the world and it is Christmas shopping time. So it really wasn't the stores fault it was so terrible.
5. I was conned into buying something more than once by the constant street venders. There were at least 5 of them every two feet and before you knew it they shoved some merchandise on you then demanded you to pay for it. They used your confusion to their advantage and it took forever to try and avoid them in order to see the attractions Paris had to offer.
Despite all these bad things I really enjoyed Paris (even though I was beyond exhausted for most of the trip). It is a lovely city and you should definitely see it when you get the chance, it is not an opportunity you want to miss.
I took lots of pictures but I didn't get one that made me go, "Wow! What an awesome shot!" so I'm a little disappointed but I have plenty of other pictures to put up.
They will be up soon.
Happy Sunday everyone!
